Captain Jacob Oldenburg is the owner and lead guide of Code 3 Guide Services, a Corpus Christi fishing charter built on deep family roots and hands-on experience. His love for fishing started early, growing up around the water with a father who has guided professionally for more than three decades. With fishing truly a family trade and his brother also working as a guide,
Captain Jacob learned firsthand what it takes to read the water, respect the fishery, and treat every guest like a priority.
As a seasoned Corpus Christi fishing guide, Captain Jacob spends countless days on the bay tracking seasonal patterns, tides, and weather changes that directly affect success. His trips focus on inshore fishing across Corpus Christi Bay, where Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder are common targets depending on the time of year. Safety is always a priority, and his calm, steady approach helps guests feel comfortable whether they are experienced anglers or stepping onto a boat for the first time. This consistent effort and local knowledge are why Code 3 Guide Services continues to earn repeat customers.
What sets Captain Jacob apart is his work ethic and mindset on the water. He fishes hard, stays mobile, and adjusts constantly to conditions rather than relying on routine spots. While he does not promise limits, he does promise effort and honesty. His background in service and commitment to the local community shape how he runs his business, focusing on quality trips and shared experiences rather than quick results. That approach has helped build a strong reputation for Code 3 Guide Services in Corpus Christi.
Trips are run aboard a 24-foot Dargel bay boat, designed for stability, comfort, and efficiency in shallow water. The boat is equipped with modern navigation electronics, quality fishing gear, and ample space for up to four fishing guests, making it well suited for private and family-friendly fishing charters in Corpus Christi. Whether guests are casting along grass lines or cruising the bay, the setup allows for a smooth, organized day on the water guided by someone who truly knows the area.
